Laura, I just posted a reply to your post about the mom with cavities, worried about calcium deficiency. I wrote she can get enough calcium in grains and vegetables and corn tortillas. You wrote that she is gluten-free, so the usual grains--wheat, rye, barley and possibly oats--are not available to her. (Oats may be--she can buy "gluten-free oats.) There are alot of alternative grains and substitutes that have calcium in them, and with enough vitamin D and magnesium, she will absorb Calcium well so will not "need" dairy.  RTucker
