In this UNICEF update is a concrete report of a group of women in the
Dominican Republic at Dario Contreros Hospital who are providing breastmilk
for Haitian babies.

" For now, a group of Dominican women are ensuring that the babies in the
ward have adequate food. A lot of infant children have arrived at the
hospital without their parents. They need motheršs milk to continue to
live," said Dr. Quezada. "We currently have some Dominican mothers who have
donated their milk to feed these infants. This is a gesture of a generosity
and solidarity."

Some of you remember back in the day before the Google alerts made it easy
for all of us to track news, I used to post breastfeeding news on a blog. I
have decided to start doing this again, with a focus on human milk donation.
I can't really post updates all day long to Lactnet, for one thing, there's
a three post minimum. :)
