Wow, what is this? World Formula Week or World Bash Breastfeeding
Week? Wondering if perhaps there was a dip in the profit of the
industriy and they think too many women have chosen to breastfeed?
That first week alone impacts. Have you seen the cost of formula?
One day supply is over $9.00 in ready to feed. Concentrate a bit
cheaper, and powder a bit less, but still a nice chunk of money for
families to dish up for baby. In that first week most parents would
choose the ready to feed. So, that's nearly $50 a week per baby
initiating breastfeeding in the early weeks, and not purchasing
product! That adds up. While the cost of breastfeeding is mother's
time, for the time she is home, it is cost effective. It is not even
WBW and they are everywhere saying breastfeeding is really nothing
much at all, so don't bother because everyone is lying and there is no
real benefits. Might as well plop down those big bucks and buy our
product instead. And, if you think it through even more...if a mom
believes she needs to pump and use her expressed milk and her milk
means nothing, and theWonW pump costs nearly $300.00.....and the
carton of formula less than $10.00....and they are both available at
the same store....just a few aisles apart....who knows if she will
choose the breastfeeding if the media keeps flooding her with images
and sound bites of what a waste of her life and time it is for
something that is not so great at all.

Wonder who put together this year's bash breastfeeding marketing plan.
Either industry is feeling the bite of the loss of that first fwe
weeks income. (Initiation is good, duration not so much.) Or women are
waking up and saying they want more respect and time for their babies
so they can breastfeed and corporate world does not want to budge on
limiting the rights of women to have real choices. It probably would
hurt the bottom line too much. So, what to do? Make mothers even less
valuable so there is no purpose in maternity leave, flex time,
sequencing career/family, etc. After all, we do not need to support
what does not matter. Mothering does not matter. Babies do not
matter. Now, breastfeeding does not matter. So, females, pop out those
babie if you must, but drop them off on the way to your proper use of
economic productivity.

Never believe the media is about the truth. Always know the media is
bought and paid for and controlled by the industries that pay thier
bills. Money is the ruler, thought is bought. People tend to be
followers more than leaders and in America, may still think the
commercials don't lie, and are very likely to believe the news sound
bites too. Actually, most can only hear the soundbites so the fewer
the words, the more likely it will be that they remember it and
believe it.

Take care,

who has been pregnant or breastfeeding or both for 23 years and had
no idea she had been wasting so much of her life and appreciates these
women letting me know that being female and using female body parts
according to one of their purposes is such a horrible curse of nature.
I had no clue! Here I was enjoying it all this time. Silly me!
