Hi guys. Confession time: I don't read JHL as closely as I should, but I
seem to remember that one of the recent ones (after all, I'm a recent member
of ILCA) had an article to the effect that morphine given to mom pp affected
the bfing neonate less than other meds (demerol?). However, when I read
it, I assumed that the opiate was given IM or IV, not via spinal
catheter. Can someone clarify this for me? Could giving a med spinally
cause the med to have a different effect somehow? Am I confused? YES! I
hear resounding thru cyberspace...... Judy K. in Israel who should have
gone into medicine and not wimped out.
