This condition apparently involves lesions on the vulva and the
treatment for it is steroid creams. From what I can read, testosterone
isn't the only steroid cream -nor would I think it would be the first-
to be prescribed to a woman of child-bearing age or who was
breastfeeding. The insert on testosterone creams clearly says these
populations should not take this medication. It also states that it is
absorbed into the bloodstream. My husband uses a testosterone gel and I
was cautioned against even touching his stomach (where he rubs it in) in
the first few hours after he applies it! I think there are other
options that would be preferable for this mother. I would worry about
her milk supply, too.
