It sounds as if this baby has gained 5 ounces (7 lbs 9.5 oz then and
now 7 lbs 14.5 oz) since the latch was amended and milk transfer was
improved, and the jaundice started to fade.

All other signs seem normal, and would this weight gain not reflect a
normal, healthy baby who has had feeding issues in the first week or
so which are now being resolved?

It would be a real shame to introduce unnecessary supplements, when
the support and practical guidance she has had with her breastfeeding
has allowed everything to improve.

The only other thing I would check for is whether the baby is feeding
often at night, and if the mother is offering both breasts each time.
