So, do I understand this correctly that a baby fed abm vs. mbm (mom's
breastmilk) sleeps longer and sounder due to the higher casein ratio?
And if so, is it just because it "sticks to the ribs" longer or does it
actually induce sleep? Phillis mentioned tryptophan? Does anyone else
know anything about this?

How this inquiry came about is that I've had more than I'd like number
of moms who have chosen to supplement "one bottle" of abm because baby
was very fussy and seemed hungry during their hospital stay and have
added to back up their choices that baby slept much longer and sounder
and seemed "full" so he "must have needed it".

I just want to be able to talk about this to future moms during the
prenatal classes and have evidence based info and facts.

Thanks to all who posted.

Mary
