Barbara:

 the 90 article, as I recall was a "re look" at the origional work done that
gave sids its infamous reputation... the author wrote, in pediatrics about the
children from the one family that had so many children fall prey to sids that
the medical profession came to believe that sids runs in family.... many many
years later it was discovered that in fact this woman killed her children..
the article is( again as I recall) a retraction of the origional article.
very interesting reading...
