To all upset with PBS and Barney, there is hope.  This evening, Bill Nye
the Science Guy (idol of school age children and parents!) did a segment
on mammals. 3-4 times he defined mammals as animals that feed their milk
to their young! He showed a dolphin nursing and some expressed dolphin
milk in a bottle with a flange on it (I didn't understand that part
because my 7 yo was shouting "he's got a mini breastpump"> Anyway,
mammals and their milk are making some inroads....maybe the Barney thing
is because he's not a mammal and was not nursed! Anne Andrianos, MSN,
