I wonder if this mom would benefit from having ultrasound (vibrating) done by a qualified physiotherapist. I read somewhere-not to long ago- that this could break up the plug (or dental floss) so it would be easier to remove or extract itself. Has anyone ever used this technique.  
It's non invasive and theoretically it could work..couldn't it?
