Linda (and everyone),

I read the abstract of that study.
http://www.phytomedicinejournal.com/article/S0944-7113(04)70279-2/abstract
1) The test subjects were rats with artificially induced hyperthyroid.
2) It was testing the combination of trigonella (fenugreek) and allium.
3) The dosage of trigonella was 200mg/kg body weight.

Assuming all this translates directly to women, that would be a dosage of
10800mg for a 120 lb. woman - about double the usual recommended dosage.

Other sources (such as Hale, MMM 2008) do not mention thyroid issues.

I'm am continuing to research this, but wanted to know if you or anyone on
this list has heard of any cases of problems in human women taking the
recommended dosage.

Thanks,
