Hi Mari

I found that the longer my milk sat in the fridge the worse it was. So
if I was planning on freezing it, I froze it straight away, and then I
didn't need to scald it. The lipaze is different for all mums, just
like everything else, some mums have to scald immediately, others
don't need to at all, and others are somewhere on the continuum. So
long as my milk sat in the fridge for less than 12 hours it was good
to go, anything longer than that and it started to go yuck and he just
wouldn't drink it.

The milk you are talking about is 5 days in the fridge, lots of time
for lipaze to work, shorter fridge times would be a great start, less
work etc, then if 12 hours max in fridge doesn't work, maybe go to
scalding.

Jenny
