A further point has come to mind, as regards the discussion of the insurance company that wants to put a breastfeeding mother into a higher health insurance risk category if she continues breastfeeding after one bout of mastitis.  That is, I wonder exactly *what* the docs are prescribing, and *how long* (or, more to the point, how short) the course of antibiotics prescribed?  This may have a bearing on the in-house statistics they are using.
   I'd like to congratulate the various people who have posted on this topic on some very good points.  This is what Lactnet is all about, isn't it.
