I know there are much better pumps now and I actually had a Medela pump with my last baby but when I read about the Lloyd B pump, it brought back very fond memories of being up at 2AM after my daughter(born in 1981)was sleeping more hours at night, pumping with my Lloyd B pump half asleep to have milk for my days at work. I don't even want to know what the suction pressure could be--I do remember using that release valve more than a few times when I got too zealous with the "pumper- upper squeeze thing! It was THE PUMP to have at that time and I pumped many ounces of milk in those middle of the night sessions. Yes, I do have large hands and I did develop carpal tunnel after she was born-don't think it was just the pumping, though! When I attended deliveries and they used a vacuum extractor, they used the same pumper and I always thought of that pump! AWWW...... the memories!!!!
