I have just joined LACTNET and am truly excited about this. I am a lone LC
in my area so this is great to have an opportunity to chat with others
regarding breastfeeding.
I have clients who are working to increase their milk supply for
various reasons. One client asked about using something to help. Does
anyone have much info regarding fenugreek or brewer's yeast in this matter?
Also how long or what do you give your clients as a reasonable time frame
for the milk supply to increase. The books say as long as the baby has been
away from the breast. Does this vary if it is within the first two weeks
and the milk supply was never established? It seems to take some mothers
much longer than others to increase their supply. Any ideas out there?
Also does anyone have any info regard NEC and breastfeeding?
Thanks a ton. Hope I can help someone too.
