The last few days several posts have mentioned IBCLCs
that have or are in MPH (Master's degree in Public
Health) programs. Since I just got my MPH in February
how many of us there are and what you are doing or are
planning to do with the MPH, IBCLC combo. I also
became a CHES (certified health education specialist)
this spring. I have been a non-rn hospital based
lactation consultant for over 10 years ( an oddity it
seems from Susan's statistics.) It is interesting
that there seem to be a subset of us the are going the
MPH route to enhance our lactation credentials. I am
curious how others are using this combo to benefit
breastfeeding.
