>>Moms milk came in on day three. She was apparently very full before the
bleeding, then the bleeding episode. Mom claims she only took the pills for
one day - until the bleeding stopped, or slowed down. I still haven't been
able to find out if she took Methergin or Ergomine.<<

Hmmm. How is mom's bleeding now; has it gotten any better since her
treatment? I'd love to know what they attributed the bleeding to and how
they ruled out retained placental products. As for mom's milk, she *saw*
lots of milk and saw baby swallowing, and then it dried up exactly when she
went on the medicine? Is this for sure? You probably need to find out
exactly what they gave her, and why.

>>However a week of Fenureek, Blessed Thistle, and pumping after feeds
didn't do much. <<

Something isn't adding up. I'd keep digging and pushing, and encourage mom
not to give up yet. If she had good breast growth and milk really did come
in, then it's gotta be meds or placental tissue; I can't imagine what else.
She shouldn't have lost enough blood to have caused a pituitary insult--
that would have required hospitalization, I would think.

Lisa
