Thanks to all those who responded to my request for support with the NICU baby yesterday. I got the information to mom. Last night they bottle fed the infant every 3 hours 15 cc, because he gagged on the first one ounce they gave him (yes he was not 24 hours old yet) He is still spitting up most of what he gets and last night was started on antibiotics due to his labs. Hopefully today mom will get the ok to put the baby to the breast. She is concerned that he is being fed too much, since he spits up so much, I believe she is right, and so I suggested that she discuss her concerns with the doctor this morning. She was getting ready to talk with the doctor right after I spoke with her. I will keep you posted... his head looks much better today, no longer looks like "Hey Arnold" ( thats a cartoon character here in the US, that has a head shaped like a football laying sideways.)
