So does your hospital purchase these? We are told that any ointments are considered medications in the hospital and need to be prescribed by the MD and put in the Medical Record and checked with pharmacy for possible allergens. In the hospital, you can't even give the baby diaper rash cream without a Physician order. We have been unable to find other types of ointments for sale in small packages that can be purchased in bulk and put in our Med Select machine. We did find MotherLove that will sell individual packages, but our hospital, like most large hospitals, is part of a system that buys supplies from certain vendors that we have a contract with. They really want to buy with their contract vendors, which means of course, that they only sell the Lanolin cream. It's really hard to get them to buy from an outside vendor.

Hi!

We use Earth Mama Angel Baby Natural Nipple Cream as a lanolin free option. It comes in small packets that are trial size. We have had good feedback from moms on this product. Hope this information helps!
