Congratulations to you all!

...and don't think for a MINUTE that the fact that so many passed and so few
failed meant that this was an easy test - the reality is, the pre-requisites
(if followed honorably) that IBLCE sets help to prevent unprepared people
from taking (and then failing) it.

Congratulations also to the wonderful staff at IBLCE and all the volunteers
that helped to get this testing year completed.  You have had some horrible
stresses and have performed in a wonderful and professional manner - I am
honored to be a part of this great profession!

...and those of you who just passed - you're not done - you're just
beginning!
* join International Lactation Consultant Association,
* join your local breastfeeding coalitions and groups or form one
* dedicate yourselves to keeping yourselves up to date
* decide to help bring others into the fold - either as professionals with
breastfeeding knowledge (we do not have to be an IBCLC to be a member of
ILCA or coalitions)-
* become a mentor to those who want to become IBCLCs in the next few years.

...if you thought your late night studying was done - think again!  I was
researching information today at 3:00 am - at almost 20 years as an IBCLC I
still need to learn/read/study!
