"She is anticipating return to work again this time at 12 weeks and is
inquiring about which pump to consider, hoping to avoid the volume issues she
experienced last time. After calling her insurance carrier she learned that
the following are covered fully for her and is asking me for input...

Ameda Purely  Yours
Medela Personal Advanced Double Pump
PJ Bliss
Playtex Double  Electric Pump

Any experience or recommendations?"
~~~ In addition to the good questions posted by Susanne, I would add, which
 version of the pump are they offering? Some pumps have an "insurance
grade"  level which will have the same name as the commercial ones we know, but
lack  some of its features. This happened to come into play with a mom who
was looking  for a pump and needing to travel a lot, and the version her
insurance company  offered was the same name but lacked an internal battery. Her
solution, ask for  the amount of money that would be covered, and buy the
one she knew was better  for her situation. Not sure that would work for
others ( her insurance was from  her home country in Europe), but being aware
that a "name" brand might still  have different specs could help in choosing.
Peace,
Judy,, PS  Playtex? Moms need to complain loudly to get that off any  list,
IMO. The others are all feasible, if mom has a good supply, and a baby who
nurses normally when she's home.
