The best reference I know of explaining how antibodies are made to specific bacteria/viruses and
how they get into the breastmilk is our own Jack Newman's article in the Dec 1995 issue of
Scientific American "How Breast Milk Protects Newborns".  I use it all the time-great for the
med students!
