Thank you Linda, Gwen, Morgan, Pamela, and Brenda,

Some of you responded through Lacnet and other privately to me. I tried to
see the mom today when I was in Cibecue and she was taking the AIMS test
and making up a chemistry test, so she couldn't leave her classroom. I did
however speak to her school nurse twice and did leave her Linda's handout
titled Guidelines for the Rapid Reduction of Milk Supply. I plan to talk
with her tonight and/or tomorrow and possibly see her tomorrow or on Friday
when I again plan to be in Cibecue. I do agree that learning how to help
women who have made the decision either not to nurse to to stop
breastfeeding is an important service we can offer to help these women who
have made a decision we would prefer they had not made. Our intervention
can help them avoid mastitis and breast abscess. Once I have actually
spoken with and/or seen the young woman, I will respond again to the list
or perhaps privately with those who wrote me depending on whether or not
she gives me permission to share.

Warmly, with thanks for the help,
