I noticed recently that the jars of commercially prepared baby food here are
now labeled 'for children from 1 1/2 to 5 years of age'.

I now include this in talking to HCPs about breastfeeding, as 'evidence'
that children in this age group are still considered infants in terms of
nutritional needs, and it is normal to give them breastmilk. I put
quotation marks around evidence because I don't believe there is evidence
that people who can chew, need premasticated food, or indeed any food that
is very different from what the other people in the family eat. But it
makes them sit up and take notice, and realize that if someone is peddling
baby food to 5 year olds, maybe breastmilk isn't so far-fetched.
