* BREASTFEEDING TASK FORCE PURPOSE STATEMENT *

The purpose of the Breastfeeding Task Force is to address the
implementation of Breastfeeding care at TCH and the breastfeeding
education of patients, family and staff.

We strive to create an environment which supports and promotes
breastfeeding at TCH.



The initial meeting of the Breastfeeding Task force defined the purpose
statement and highlighted the first steps of the group.
The group consists of eleven members from 9S including Beth Von Luehrte,
Charla Payne, Sally Kacner, Carla Dowling, Odella Boehring, Jan Walters,
Debbie Kapascinski, Charlotte Pearson, Vicki Emmons, Amanda Pffirman and
Mary Ann Potter.
                                                                        
                            

* BREASTFEEDING TASK FORCE FIRST STEPS *

The task force agenda included:
1. Informed consent for formula use
2. TCH Breastfeeding policy
3.JCAHO Perinatal Core Measure for exclusive breast milk feeding
4. 2010 Ed day Breastfeeding competency

Next Meeting October 19, 2010 at 10 AM.
