I have been very discouraged over the last week. The formula
companies have provided all kinds of "gifts" to the nurses in our hospital in
honor of "Nurses Week". The gifts include tote bags, pens, note pads,
penlights, mugs and the best of all.....a beanie baby!!! Now the company has
their own beanie baby, a red bear named "Izzy". The most disgusting thing is
the nurses think these gifts are so nice! I have stood my ground and refused
the gifts and have been very outspoken about my feelings. Most of the staff
think I am nuts!! Now each baby in the NICU have the "cute little formula
company beanie baby" in his bed!!! Have others seen this new marketing
tactic?
On the brighter side.....my ten year old daughter was working on some
English homework, she made a mistake and said "I am so stupid.....I must have
gotten formula when I was a baby". At least she is learning!!!
