My first question is "Is 2000 calories enough for this mom?
My second question is "How much is her baby nursing and how pregnant is
mom-2nd trimester I'm guessing?"
My third question is "How much fluctuation in her BS-is she on insulin at
this point?"
My fourth question is "Does she plan to get a second opinion, perhaps from
a CDE who is a little more supportive of BF?"

I have lots of other questions that I can pose to the nurses and dieticians
who run our diabetes education program, which, by the way, is very
supportive of BF. Feel free to e-mail me privately. Our CDEs are leaving
for an AADE meeting in Minneapolis tomorrow am so you have time to get some
of the answers to my questions.

What does the rest of the group think? I guess I need more information to
make a truly educated statement, but I think weaning is a pretty rash
decision.
