This is the first time I have posted since the list has moved. Hope this

Among Michael Dorris' many accomplishments is the fact that with his book
"The Broken Cord" he brought national attention to fetal alcohol syndrome.
As the adoptive parent of 2 diagnosed FAS children and a third one that most
likely experiences FAS, I am extremely aware of the stress that these
children and their "differences" can put into the life of everyone around.

Just something else to think about as the "bus poem" circulates.
