I know things have changed a bit since I got my MSN in mental health in the early-mid 90s, but unless it's vastly changed, one wouldn't diagnose true PPD at one week postpartum. Per ICD and APA guides, depressed mood symptoms must be present for at least 2 weeks. So I'm wondering how valid the research is.
