Isn't that strip a breath of fresh air?
The author is a woman, Lynn Johnston.
One character has already had a home birth ( albeit 'by accident'- that
baby being the girl April) and she has always been fantastically
supportive of breastfeeding; featuring the nursing pair in many cartoons.
Someone else who is 'older than dirt' may remember the hysterical one she
did about babies' one sided nursing- Drawing the mom quite lopsided! It
was really neat to see the entire latacting experience portrayed as it
'should' be- normal and accepted.
I have high hopes for the 'new generation'.
