"The flyer is titled "DreamBabies - The Gift of Sleep".  This
physician is charging $200 for a 45 minute session to show new parents "how
to imprint your child's sleep behavior right from the beginning".  One of the
quotes listed on the flyer from parents states: "We implemented Dr. ____'s
method with our newborn when we arrived home from the hospital, and she began
sleeping for 12 hr. nights at 2 months!"  

I wonder what the rates of SIDS would be in babies who have been force to sleep for twelve hours without waking? I believe such 'advice' can only be extremely dangerous for such young babies. Maybe these babies sleep so long out of a sense of self-preservation - saving all their energy for when their parent will actually feed them.
