It always astounds me when I take a woman's medical history and when I ask
about medical problems, a woman will say that she was diagnosed with
fibrocystic disease.  I feel strongly that these changes be referred to as
fibrocystic changes, and are certainly normal (off the cuff an easy 80%) in
my premenopausal patient population. Reassurance is key, treatment for
those uncomfortable!-Anne Eglash, MD
