The mom I posted about yesterday w/ the 5 wk old who won't nurse is a LLL
member. She attended prenatally and when she went to the WBW walk w/ bottle
feeding ebm she claims she got some strange looks. Then when she attended a
mtg she said she prayed that her baby would not wake up to need his bottle.
I suggested she just come right out and say at the beginning of the mtg how
difficult her situation is and how she feels so sad that she cannot nurse
her baby. I think then she would get the support she needs. I know the
leaders and I know they are supportive. This is just a reminder to all of us
to not assume anything or make rash judgements.
