I work for an assistive technology program in South Carolina. I
recently got this question and am wondering if any of you have
experience with this. I assume this mother is breastfeeding, but I'm
not sure. Here's what the question says:

I have a client who is Deaf with a new preemie baby. The standard
baby cry signal doesn't pick up her newborn's cry. The bed shaker
doesn't wake her. Do you know of a more sensitive receiver or a more
substantial shaker? She has a Sonic Alert (a Harris Communications
product) and it is working, but it is not sensitive enough. The baby
is home with the mother now, and she is most reluctant to sleep with
the baby because she had a friend whose baby died of SIDS while
sleeping in the bed with the mother."

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
