Helen,
I had heard of this method at a breastfeeding course some time ago (or read
it, can't remember), but when I was talking to our local nursery nurses
about using the inverted syringe, they said that they weren't allowed to use
syringes for that purpose.  It had something to do w/ policy about using
supplies for something they weren't ordered (designed) for.  The nurse I
spoke w/ seemed bummed about it because she knew it worked.  Just wondering
if anyone else had encountered this.  (Yes, apparently if they wanted to
evert nipples and pump didn't work, they had to order a "nipple everter".
