Someone posted on an article re diarrhea:

I've always bf my kids thru any gi disturbance and they did fine. But since
transient lactose intolerance can occur with viral illnesses, when would you
(if ever) use a lactose-free milk and for what amt of time? What would the
docs and gi docs recommend?
