I have been told that there is in New Zealand a belief that babies should
not bed-share due to mold in the parents' mattresses which causes toxins
that cause SIDS. My informant tells me that, moreover, it is not thought
that maternal smoking, ambient temperature nor breastfeeding influence the
risk of SIDS. Please if there is anyone on the list who is familiar with
the current state of the discussion about SIDS in NZ, could you briefly
enlighten me about it? Do so off list if it cannot be done in a few lines.

Thanks,

Rachel Myr
