This is a quote from the website that Jennifer provided for us:

"So, I exclusively breadfed my son for 3 years (he is brain-injured) and I
never gave him a drop of water. I'm from Belgium, I was bottle-fed and never got
a drop of water while on fomulas. My husband on the other hand, born to
African-American/Native American parents in Arkansas (homebirth) was breastfed and
he remembers that it was common practice to give water with a spoon or a cup
to breastfed infants.."

I am fascinated by how this is written--so she exclusively breastfed for 3
years and has a brain damaged child (implication--exclusive breastfeeding causes
brain damage) But she who was formula fed and not given water is obviously
not brain damaged. Hm...must be some protective factors in formula. And of
course if our older, traditional cultures gave water to infants then that must
mean that we should, too. Traditional cultures also practiced infanticide.

Quite simply this is an advertisement for buying water--we call it
testimonials. Who is selling bottled water and making money--let me see I can think of
a few companies that sell bottled water and infant formula that might benefit
hugely by this testimonial--Nestle and Danone. The health food and supplement
industry has been taken over by the multi-national corporations. We dance
to the tune of the multi-national corporations and so does the medical
community. Water? The article says babies cry for water--yeah I bet they cry for a
specific brand of water just like they cry for a specific brand of infant
formula.
