One of my BSC students commented in one of her lessons that in the "bf" class
she attended, the instructor (not an LC) noted that breastmilk and formula
were virtually the same. That allergic reactions and sensitivities came from
cow's milk, but that the formula companies had modified cow's milk so that it
was almost the same as breastmilk and that it wouldn't cause allergies.

I'm truly amazed that health care professionals can believe that formula,
which is "improved" every other week, it seems, and when one formula is
"better" than another can believe that it is the same or equal to breastmilk.
What a job those formula reps have done! A cow's milk formula is still
cow's milk, no matter how modified it is. After all,

You can take the milk out of the cow, but you can't take the cow out of the
milk!
