In looking for something else, I saw this little bit on Science News' web
page. On their headlines page, this is all that's stated.

>BREAST MILK: A LEADING SOURCE OF PCBs
>
> Breast milk provides large amounts of potentially neurotoxic chemicals to
>infants.

They don't give the whole article, and I haven't seen the issue. I was
wondering if anyone else has seen it, and if they state things any better
in the article. On their references web page, the state their reference as
a study done on Dutch preschool children. Their statement on their
headlines page seems pretty misleading to me.

>References:

>Patandin, S., et al. 1997. Plasma polychlorinated biphenyl levels in Dutch
>preschool children either
>breast-fed or formula-fed during infancy. American Journal of Public Health
>87(October):1711.

They have a feedback link on their web page. If anyone would like to check
it out, their URL is:
