In addition to the websites mentioned by others there are also a few email
lists.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/1ABSupportGroup/ (the most active list)
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ChinaAdoptionBreastfeeding/ (for anyone
wishing to breastfeed an older baby, not just from China)
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/adoptivebreastfeeding/ (very quiet list)
I'd recommend any of the web based adoption support groups to women who wish
to breastfeed adopted an adopted child. Each group has their own strengths
and weaknesses but just the same the support and information that women can
obtain from these groups is invaluable. For any woman that is breastfeeding
a child in unusual circumstances linking up via the net with similarly
placed women removes isolation and provides knowledgeable information and
support all of which are vital to women who wish to be successful in a
breastfeeding unfriendly culture.
