Hello!

We currently have a patient with preterm labor at 29 weeks gestation. She
was treated with mag sulfate, steroids, and now terbutaline. She also
received reglan 2 days ago. She has low serum calcium and potassium,
probably related to mag therapy. She noticed this morning hard, lumpy
breasts from which milk is easily expressed. Does anyone have information
as to why this has occured and what we might expect to happen as a result?

Thanks for you wisdom,

Beth Seidel, IBCLC
