Our infectious control guy slipped an article under my door this week
for review.  It is entitled: Transmission of cytomegalovirus to preterm
infants through breast milk.  It is authored by Matthias Vochem,MD,
Klaus Hamprecht,MD,PHD, Gerhard Jahn,MD,and Christian P. Speer,
MD,FRCPE.  It can be found in The Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal
Vol.17,No. 1,January, 1998.  After searching the archives and finding 6
articles with one having a similar message I wish to know Dr. Newman's
opinion and recommendations to those of use with this population and
concerned Neonatologist.
