In light of that nasty 20/20 epidsode, I'm not sure just how this little
tid bit will help all of you. The show Providence tonight had a single mom
of a supposedly 1 year old (still nursing---expressed breastmilk left in
the fridge in rubbermaid tub). Anyway, there was a great scene where she
was making clam chowder and told her brother to put in the container of
pre-measured evaporated milk in the rubbermaid tub. At the critical
moment, bro wasn't there and a sight-impaired woman took over the addition
of the "milk". Well, guess what she added? Everyone LOVED the delicious
expressed breastmilk clam chowder without ever realizing why it was so much
better than their deceased mother's recipe. Just one more use for all
those frozen bags of breastmilk. Dig up those clams (just not from the
Oregon coast) ;)
