My beloved husband is a computer wizard - I believe that his official title
is administrator of the computer science department at Cornell, and he's
also a researcher there. I got him years past the breastfeeding stage for
both of us, but his 3 daughters were all breastfed for a good long time (a
year or two or more - being a guy, he can't remember exactly!). Well, that's
probably the best thing he ex ever did! He's pretty knowledgeable, but he's
a sciencey-type, and looks on my activities with a touch of amusement. He is
utterly devoted to breasts, though - not necessarily to the "Playboy" style
ones (lucky for me!), but basically all sizes, shapes, & colors, and is not
nasty or leering about it but rather appreciative and tender. Much as I am
about any baby I see anywhere.

As long as we're giving colorful details, I have 2 ex-husbands: #2 drove a
bagel delivery truck when I met him, then went back to grad school while I
toiled away supporting us at a job I hated, finished his PhD in geology, and
now teaches geology at St. Lawrence University. # 1, the father of my
children, was an artist when we were together (and didn't actually "work"
most of the time), and now is a librarian at Ithaca College. When we were
together he knew nothing about BFing but neither did I - we were utter,
total babes in the woods right through those baby-having years. But he was
always 100% supportive of my efforts (not always too successful with our 1st
baby), and without him I would never have hung in there long enough to find
the path that's led me here today. (Plus, if he'd worked and earned some
money, I'd never have been motivated to go to nsg. school to support the
family, and I'd never have found my way into LCing!)
