Ladies, I have somewhat of a strange question. I have permission to post. 1st time mom, baby in NICU, pumping, using pump-in-style. Has already moved up to the largest possible flange shield available (states has the soft shield). Problem is that even with increasing the suction slightly, she leaks out of the bottom of the flange - is worse with the hard flange. Is not able to do breast compression with pumping because of having to hold flanges on. Has anyone had this happen before that could give me some advise? Have talked to her about using a sports bra with slits to hold pump to allow for compression, and she is willing to try this. She is getting quite a bit of milk out regardless, but is upset about what she loses down her front. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Brenda E.
