Yes, it's scary isn't it! Very scary! I would hope that it would be a very
small minority with this ignorance. India has some fabulous doctors who are
very knowledgeable and supportive of breastfeeding and in at least one place
where an artifically feeding mother mother presents to a hospital with a
baby with gastro the treatment involves relactation. Drs Banapurmath
published a paper with 1000 cases of relactation in Indian Pediatrics a few
years ago.
