Hi lactnet,
 You CAN make a difference.
In 1989 when we brought our preemie home from the hospital , she was on
an apnea monitor. When we would get our bill from the medical supply
store, insurance would cover the cost of the monitor but not the tax.
This seemed crazy to me that there should be tax on an apnea monitor
rental . I talked to the man at the store and he said yes there was tax
on the monitor and the way the law was written there was tax on
anything that was not specifically exempted. For example crutches
weren't taxed but walkers were. It was a flaw in the law that took an
affected to person to bring to it to light . Any way I fired off a
letter to the governor and our representative and it changed the law!
Now it reads anything that requires prescription can not be taxed.

Most things require at least three times before they even get out of
committee.
You did a great job introducing the bill. Next legislative session
will roll around soon.
The more they hear of it the more they will realize it does have
credibility. Courage.
