My son, who was NOT being breastfed OR getting bottles at age 2 1/2 - DID
have 4 teeth with cavities - due, according to the dentist, to "incomplete
enamel sealing". He said this just happens sometimes - even with babies
who were not exposed (at least as far as we could identify) to any problems
in utero. Some children are perfectly healthy, have good dental cleaning
and diet, but have enamel that does not seal. Could that also be part of
the equation when speaking about children and dental caries?

By the way, good thing I didn't follow the "wean when they have teeth" with
son #2 - he had 3 teeth at 3 months!
