Thought I'd throw this out for the new 'netters about the Digest.
It was a lifesaver for me. I'm on a freenet and my mailbox has
limited space. Before I realized what the Digest was, I was
constantly getting messages from the freenet that my box was over
quota, even though I checked it every day. The Digest doesn't
let you miss one bit of the messages, but instead of getting a
zillion individual messages a day, you get several compacted
versions of about 300 lines each. It's so much easier to contend
with. I also download to my hard drive--wish I could do flash
session, that sounds great--then pull it up on my word processing
program to read. I edit as I go--boy it seems like there is so
much I want to save--and delete those I don't need to keep. I
put a dotted line under each message I save, then print out pages
and pages, and with my trusty paper cutter cut apart on the dotted
lines. I am putting things by categories in an expandable folder,
e.g.baby problems, mother problems, meds, etc and then at least
I only have one section to look under to recover some wonderful
info that will help me out with a client.
Thanks to all of you for such terrific learning experience and
isn't it wonderful to "meet" such diverse women
whose reason for working with moms and babies is the same?
